Traffic noise assessment based on mobile measurements

Continuous noise monitoring based on mobile systems could provide a quick feedback to assess the effect of policies implemented by authorities mitigate pollution. The present research verifies that measurements taken along main street and aggregated in time space can accurately estimate levels at static points. As consequence, sensors would be suitable build, continuously update, maps. Furthermore, experiment computes optimum aggregation distance measurements. To perform measurements, low-cost sensor with an integrated GPS was mounted bicycle.
